Brigid Shehan (Media, PA / Penncrest) went a perfect 2-for-2 for PBU in game one of the doubleheader and accounted for 2 of 3 hits for the Crimson Eagles. Unfortunately, Shehan was unable to make it around the bases as Delaware Valley College took the first game 8-0.

Jackie Wear and Erin Fox both went perfect at the plate, as well, for the Aggies going 4-for-4 and 3-for-3 respectively.

Game two saw the Crimson Eagle bats making more contact in one inning than in the previous match. DVC would win the game easily in the end, 15-3, but for three innings it wasn't so easy for the Aggies.

Sara Poole (Edison, NJ / Timothy Christian), Kelly Hendrickson (Southampton, PA / William Tennet), and Kim Martin (Lititz, PA / Warwick) each went 2-for-4 in the nightcap, while Ashley Mitchell (Fairless Hills, PA / Pennsbury) chimed in with a hit of her own, going 1-for-3.

After scoring four 4 runs in the top of the first inning, the Aggies were shut out by Hendrickson and the Crimson Eagles for two innings. In the bottom of the second inning, PBU used a series of walks and a hit batter to load the bases and when Juliann Langworthy (Barnegat, NJ / Barnegat) used her eagle-eye sight to take a "ball four", PBU had its first run. Singles by Kelly Hendrickson and Kim Martin drove in two more runs and made the game a 4-3 contest. Unfortunately, that was the extent of the Crimson Eagle's scoring.

Hendrickson, once again on the mound for the Crimson Eagles, is the Colonial States Athletic Conference leader in Innings Pitched (119.2), Starts (22), and Appearances (24). She pitched another 11 innings today between the two games, striking out two in the process.

Poole had 4 assists on the day, which gives her 66 on the season and good enough to rank her 2nd in the CSAC in the category.

PBU will travel to Camden, NJ this Thursday to take on Rutgers-Camden in another non-conference match-up. First pitch is at 3pm.
