Radnor, PA - The Crimson Eagles were unable to keep the momentum going after getting their first CSAC win of the season yesterday as the Cavaliers of Cabrini College scored early and often.
Game 1 saw the Cavaliers score 15 runs in only 4 innings and that was all they would need. PBU recorded 4 hits in the game, all coming from the heart of the lineup.
Brigid Shehan (Media, PA / Penncrest) went 2-for-3, while
Emily Cronin (Franklinville, NY / New Life Christian) and
Kelly Hendrickson (Southampton, PA / William Tennet) earned the other two hits for PBU.
The second game of the doubleheader was slightly closer but Cabrini was still out of reach for the Crimson Eagles, who continue to struggle with unfortunate injuries and a short bench.
PBU avoided the shutout when senior
Sara Poole (Edison, NJ / Timothy Christian) scored in the top of the 3rd inning off of an Emily Cronin single.
Kelly Hendrickson was an impressive 3-for-3 in game 2 and 4-for-5 at the plate for the day.
The Crimson Eagles slip to 2-14; 1-7 in CSAC play.
Next up for the ladies is a doubleheader against NCCAA East Region foe Valley Forge Christian on Tuesday, April 3, at home.
