Myrtle Beach, SC - Philadelphia Biblical University's Softball team wrapped up their final games down in beautiful Myrtle Beach, South Carolina today against Eureka College and Concord University.
This morning, the Crimson Eagles took on Eureka College. PBU's offense had their second strongest showing of the season to date by drilling 6 runs in but couldn't match Eureka's 15.
Later in the afternoon, the Crimson Eagles played against NCAA Division 2 opponent Concord University in a real final test of the week. Unfortunately, PBU was unable to get its offense going, managing only 1 run. Still, it wasn't a shutout against much higher competition. The Crimson Eagles slumped to a 1-13 defeat and leave South Carolina with a 1-3 record.
The softball team will now make the long trek north up Interstate 95 to a place where it's always sunny, Philadelphia.
The Crimson Eagles resume play next Tuesday, March 20, when they host their first home game of the season against Swathmore College. It will be a double-header with the first pitch coming at 3pm.
