Box Score
Radnor, PA - Philadelphia Biblical University hoped to play spoiler against the nationally ranked (#7) Cabrini Cavaliers, who are looking for another undefeated season in conference play and a top-seed headed into the playoffs.
Chances of any upset got off to the wrong start when the Cavaliers shot out to a 12-0 lead on their Senior Night. PBU's
Kevin Joseph (Brooklyn, NY / HS for Leadership) stopped the bleeding with a jumper 4 minutes in for the team's first points. The Crimson Eagles finally settled down but were unable to draw within striking distance, always trailing by double figures after the initial onslaught. Cabrini eventually ran away easy 85-55 winners.
PBU's senior guard
Adam Derus (Lancaster, PA / Manheim Township), however, capped a remarkable week with another 20+ performance. Derus drained 4 3-pointers on his way to 21 points. Earlier in the week, the 6'1 guard scored 22 points against Immaculata before exploding for 38 points against Valley Forge Christian. For the week, he averaged 27 points a game.
Senior forward
Charles Kennedy (Philadelphia, PA / Roxborough) finished with a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
In their final regular season game, PBU will take on Gwynedd-Mercy this Wednesday at 8pm.
