Langhorne, PA - Cairn's men's soccer team defeated the visiting Mighty Macs 1-0 to move into third place in the conference standings.

Cody Mosely's penalty kick goal in the 77th minute gave the Highlanders the lone goal they would need to overcome a stingy Immaculata team. For the second time in just two minutes, senior forward Seth Mangum was taken down inside the box but the second take down resulted in a penalty. The goal is Mosely's first of the season.

The Highlanders held a 14-10 advantage in shots overall and 9-4 in shots on goal.

Mangum led all players with 3 shots on goal, putting all three on frame, forcing Immaculata goalkeeper Chris Raudabaugh into 3 of his 8 saves. Dave Shaffer recorded his 3rd shutout of the season by making 4 saves to preserve the cleansheet.

With the victory, Cairn jumps to 3-1 in conference play and moves up into a third place tie with Rosemont College. Ironically, it is the same Rosemont College Cairn will face off with on Wednesday, October 10th. Kick-off is set for 4pm at Rosemont.
