Langhorne, PA - Bryn Mawr College visited Cairn University for a women's soccer match and blanked the host 4-0.
Bryn Mawr used two goals on either side of the break to secure the win, but it wasn't easy despite the lopsided scoreline. The Owls found it tough to break down a stubborn Highlander defense, who limited their visitors to only 13 shots on the day. It took a couple of long-range missiles to bypass the defense, since the Owls were having a tough time breaking them down. Bryn Mawr got goals from four differennt players.
Cairn managed 6 shots on goal, with both
Nicole Mantell and
Kathleen Meacham each registering two shots.
Morgan Swan made 5 saves in net.
Last season's meeting between these two resulted in a 6-1 win for Bryn Mawr, in which they launched 21 shots. Cutting their shots almost in half shows a great improvement on the Cairn squad.
