Box Score
La Plume, PA - In a rematch from earlier this month, the men's basketball team took on the formidable Giants of Keystone College and star Kenneth Hardnett.
It was a similar story from 3 weeks ago when Keystone won 107-72 in the Mason Activity Center on January 9, 2012. The Giants reached the century mark for the second time against the Crimson Eagles this season, 100-57. Keystone's Duncan Lunsford paced the Giants with a game-high 18 points. The Crimson Eagles limited Kenneth Hardnett to only 16 points after his 27 points in the previous meeting.
Freshman forward
Seth Heinicke (Ivyland, PA / Calvary Christian) continues to impress in his rookie season, leading the way for the Crimson Eagles with 16 points. Seniors
Claude Chalk (Philadelphia, PA / Philadelphia Regional)
and
Charles Kennedy (Philadelphia, PA / Roxborough) each contributed 11 points.
The Crimson Eagles shot 44% from beyond the 3-pt. line, but were unable to find enough open shots from distance to make an impact in the score. Keystone held the advantage in rebounds, 34-22 and forced 28 PBU turnovers while committing only 16 themselves.
PBU falls to 4-15 overall, 2-11 in CSAC play. Keystone is now 16-2, 10-1.
This upcoming Wednesday, the Crimson Eagles head north again to take on the Marywood Pacers. In the last meeting, PBU led for almost the entire game only to see the Pacers steal a victory in the final minutes. Tip-off is scheduled for 8pm.
