2nd Half Push Propels Chargers Past PBU

Box Score

Lancaster, PA
- A second half push from the host, Lancaster Bible College, earned them a crucial NCCAA East Region win over the visiting Crimson Eagles.

Philadelphia Biblical University led for a majority of the first half and only trailed at the most by 3 points. The Chargers of Lancaster snuck in towards the end of the half to take a 2 point lead into halftime.

Coming out of the blocks for the second half, the Chargers were ready to play and quickly built a double-digit lead after only 5 minutes. For the next 6 minutes, LBC would hold onto the two figure lead, but with just 3:31 remaining the Crimson Eagles had pulled to within 6 points, 56-50. PBU was looking to return the favor and sneak in before time ran out to have the lead as time expired. Unfortunately, they wouldn't get any closer than that.

The final score, 65-55.

PBU's Seth Heinicke (Ivyland, PA / Calvary Christian) was the game's leading scorer with 22. Adam Derus (Lancaster, PA / Manheim Township) knocked down 4 3-pointers on his way to 14 points.

LBC's Kevin Keltner led the Chargers with 15 points and was the game's leading rebounder with 12.

PBU  travels to La Pluma, PA this Saturday to take on CSAC opponent Keystone College. Tip-off is set for 3pm.
