Hackettstown, NJ - Despite a solid second half performance from the Crimson Eagles, the men's basketball team fall 65-76.
PBU had previously beaten Centenary Cyclones on Dec. 10, 94-80 and were looking for the 2011-2012 season sweep of the Cyclones. But it was the Cyclones who came out determined not to let that happen.
Centenary took control of the game in the first half, leading 37-24 going into halftime. The Crimson Eagles almost doubled their first half output with 41 second half points.
Freshman forward
Seth Heinicke (Ivyland, PA / Calvary Christian) led the Crimson Eagles with 20 points.
Charles Kennedy (Philadelphia, PA / Roxborough) added 13 points.
Heinicke was only outdone by Centenary's Larry Lenahan who finished with 20 points.
PBU falls to 3-13; 1-10. Centenary jumps to 9-9; 5-6.
PBU will play host to longtime rivals Baptist Bible this Tuesday, January 24th in a double-header with both men and women's teams in action.
