Box Score
Langhorne, PA - For the second season in a row, the Rosemont Ravens swept the season series with the Philadelphia Biblical University Crimson Eagles.
Rosemont took the first meeting 74-59 in Rosemont. This time the Ravens traveled to Langhorne, PA to face a fresh Crimson Eagle crowd fresh off of winter break. Unfortunately for PBU, it didn't matter. The Ravens still shot 65% from the floor for the night.
The Crimson Eagle's freshman forward
Seth Heinicke (Ivlyand, PA / Calvary Christian) led all scorers with 23 points and completed his double-double by grabbing 10 rebounds. Both
Adam Derus (Lancaster, PA / Manheim Township) and
Charles Kennedy (Philadelphia, PA / Roxborough) contributed 15 points each. The rest of the team had 15 points combined.
Rosemont had four players reach double figures; Justin Chaney (17), Harrison Carsillo (13), Mitch Carsillo (11), and Derrick Carter (11). That Ravens quartet took 28 shots and only missed 9.
PBU trailed 23-36 at the half, but it wasn't until there were 7 minutes left in the half that Rosemont broke the double-digit barrier for a lead. Throughout the game, the Crimson Eagles prevented any major runs from Rosemont, which has plagued PBU against conference foes this season. This time out, they were able to get their baskets but not at a quick enough pace.
In the end, Rosemont came out 88-68 winners.
Rosemont improves to 10-7, 6-4. PBU falls to 3-12, 1-9.
Next up for the Crimson Eagles, a trip to Centenary College this Saturday, January 21 at 2pm.
