LANGHORNE, PA - The Crimson Eagles took on a blistering Keystone team Monday night and couldn't keep pace, falling 107-72.
Keystone has what some are calling arguably the most athletic player in the Colonial States Athletic Conference, if not Division III. Senior forward Kenneth Hardnett put up 27 points on 11-for-12 shooting to lead the way for the Giants, many of those coming off of dunks. Miles Dargan added 20 points to the Keystone attack, which was averaging 88 points a game coming in.
The Giants weren't the only team to score more than their average, the Crimson Eagles put up 72 points against the aggressive Giants defense. PBU put four players in double-digits. Sophomore forward
Jeff Bishop (Souderton, PA / Souderton) led the way with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Senior
Claude Chalk (Philadelphia, PA / Philadelphia Regional) followed right behind with 11 points on 3-for-6 shooting from beyond the arc. Both
Adam Derus (Lancaster, PA / Manheim Township) and
Seth Heinicke (Ivyland, PA / Calvary Christian) finished with 10 points. Heinicke added 4 assists, while Bishop led on the defensive end with 3 blocks.
Nine different players scored for the Crimson Eagles who are still trying to recover from the loss of Wendell Torres for the second semester.
PBU is now 3-9 and 1-6 in CSAC play. Next they take on the Pacers of Marywood this Wednesday. Tip-off is scheduled for 8pm.
