Crimson Eagles Lose to Cabrini

Boxscore

RADNOR, PA
- The Crimson Eagles were shutout by CSAC powerhouse Cabrini, 3-0.

After giving up 14 goals in two games, things were not looking up for PBU's Women's Soccer team. They now had to take on last season's regular season Champions in Cabrini College, who beat them 6-1 in 2010.

After some hard-work and intensive focus on the defensive aspect of the game in training, the Crimson Eagles were able to make big improvements. Despite giving up 3 goals, Head Coach Laura Behnke was pleased with the effort her team put in. Although they may not have scored, the women showed that they don't have to be intimidated when playing some of the bigger schools in conference and region.

The ladies only gave up 16 shots in the match, compared to figures near 30 in the previous 2 matches against Marywood and Bryn Mawr.

PBU shot-stoppper Naomi Collipp showed a much improved focus and composure in the net, coming up with 8 saves. Cabrini's Maddy Edwards gets credit for the win and shutout, having made 2 saves.

The Crimson Eagles now fall to 2-5 on the year, 1-2 in the conference.

Coach Behnke and the ladies will look to bounce back against Immaculata University on Tuesday, September 27 at home. The match kicks-off at 4pm.
