LA PLUME, PA -
Keystone College logged a pair of wins against visiting PBU Saturday afternoon as the Giants took home victories by scores of 7-4 and 8-0.

Keystone jumped out during the first game of the afternoon by logging two runs over the first three innings, but PBU responded during the top of the fourth with a pair of scores to notch things at 2-apiece.

The Crimson Eagles followed up with a second consecutive two score inning thanks, in part, to a Kiersten Waltz long bomb with two outs in the frame, her first career home run.

However, the host group responded with a four run outburst during the bottom of the fifth and followed up with an insurance tally in the six to bring the score to 7-4, where it came to a standstill the rest of the way.

Kim Martin, Kiersten Waltz, and Sarah Hollenback all finished 2-for-4 in the loss.

During game two, it was Keystone from the get-go as the Giants scored at least one run in all five innings at the plate en route to an 8-0 shutout victory.

The Crimson Eagles manufactured just two hits in the loss and aided the Giants by giving the host squad five free passes to first during a game that marks Keystone's first shutout triumph of the year.

The softball team will play on minimal rest going up against Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit on Saturday. Game time of the opening contest is slated for 1:00 pm.
