PBU Can't Topple Mighty Macs on Senior Night

- Playing for the final time of the season in Langhorne Thursday night, the Crimson Eagles couldn't pull off the upset against visiting Immaculata University, falling to the Mighty Macs, 80-72.

The visitors shot 53.6 percent during the second stanza and utilized 17 offensive rebounds for the contest en route to Immaculata's eighth conference triumph of the season.

Snagging a 36-31 lead following the opening 20 minutes, Immaculata picked up their offensive efficiency during the back end of play, hitting 15 of 28 shots in the period while making a living at the free throw line in the form of 20 charity tosses.

The Mighty Macs also posted a 36-26 edge regarding points on the interior as Immaculata ended the night with four players in double figures.

Junior Claude Chalk put up 23 points and 11 boards for PBU while knocking down four triples while Adam Derus added 17 points and four assists. Jeff Bishop chipped in 10 points and Luke Taylor had nine.

The Crimson Eagles will take a week break from game action but will return to the floor next Thursday during the opening round of the NCCAA East Region Tournament. PBU will take on Lancaster Bible College on the road at 8:00 pm.
