Knights Dominate Second Half

Box Score

LANGHORNE, PA -
After building up a 14 point edge midway through the opening period, the Crimson Eagles failed to sustain their gritty play the rest of the way, eventually falling 79-50 to visiting Neumann University Tuesday evening.

After clicking on all cylinders to start things off, PBU's momentum was quickly thwarted around the 10 minute mark of the opening frame. Neumann slowed the host group's hot hand and eventually surpassed their counterpart, taking a 35-31 lead into the break at halftime.

The Knights remained in full throttle during the second stanza, outpacing PBU 44-28 over the final 20 minutes to secure their fourth straight triumph.

The Crimson Eagles forced their counterpart into 40.8 percent shooting for the night but couldn't overcome 29 turnovers and a 14-8 discrepancy on the offensive glass.

Adam Derus paced PBU with 18 points and Jeff Bishop added 14.

The basketball team will return to action on Thursday for their final game of the regular season against Immaculata University. Game time in Langhorne is scheduled for 8:00 pm.
