Box Score
IMMACULATA, PA - Five Colonial States Athletic Conference matches took place, with many of the schools opening up their conference schedule. The Crimson Eagles were one of the teams starting their in-conference play and hoping to get off to a winning start but it wasn't meant to be, as PBU lost 88-71 to the Mighty Macs of Immaculata.
Sophomore forward
Jeff Bishop (Souderton, PA / Souderton) led PBU with 19 points, including two 3-pointers.
Charles Kennedy (Philadelphia, PA / Roxborough) had a big game on the glass, grabbing 8 rebounds and 11 points.
PBU had two other players reach double figures, joining Bishop and Kennedy;
Adam Derus (Lancaster, PA / Manheim Township) had 11 and freshman
Seth Heinicke (Ivyland, PA/ Calvary Christian) finished with 10.
Trailing 44-36 at halftime, the Crimson Eagles came out for the second half ready to shoot. The team shot 55% from the field in the second half and made 11 of 13 free throws. The one area they didn't improve on was their 3-point shooting. PBU went 0 for 5 in the second half after shooting 4 for 7 in the first half.
Unfortunately, it was not enough to overturn the Mighty Macs 8 point's lead, who also came out shooting well in the second. Immacualata would slowly increase their lead as the half wore on, ending 88-71 at the final whistle.
Immaculata's Rob Stiler recorded his 1,000th point in the match, only the second player at Immaculata to reach that milestone.
PBU falls to 2-3 on the season and 0-1 in CSAC play. Immacualata sits at 3-2, 1-1.
The Crimson Eagles will play the #14 ranked team in the country and CSAC foe Cabrini College on Wednesday, November 30 at 8:00 pm.
