Hornets Too Much For Crimson Eagles

DOVER, DE - PBU's Men's Basketball team took on NCAA Div. I Delaware State University and struggled to hang with the Hornets, dropping a 104-41 contest.

The Hornets asserted themselves over the Crimson Eagles early on, jumping out to an impressive 25-0 lead to start the game. PBU would eventually find their way to the basket, but continued to have great difficulty in stopping the Hornet offense.

Sophomore forward Jeff Bishop (Souderton, PA / Souderton) was the only player who could get anything going offensively for the Crimson Eagles in the first half, scoring 9 points in the first 20 minutes. Bishop would finish with 11 points to lead PBU.

The Hornets dominated in all aspects of the game and were able to rely on a very deep bench that contributed 54 points, compared to 12 for the Crimson Eagles. Having control of a game starts in the paint, where Delaware State held a 54-18 advantage on points in the paint.

PBU will take the long holiday weekend to regroup before taking on Colonial States Athletic Conference opponent Immaculata University on Monday, November 28. Tip-off is scheduled for 8pm at Immaculata.
