ASTON, PA - Only one goal separated PBU and Colonial States Athletic Conference powerhouse Neumann University.
The Crimson Eagles fell by the score of 1-0. Despite the loss, it was a vast improvement compared to some recent results against some other top programs.
PBU needed Naomi Collip to come up big for the Crimson Eagles and she did, stopping 9 shots on goal. Neumann had 21 shots throughout the game, but unfortunately one found the back of the net.
In the 16th minute, Neumann's Tonia Russo got the Knights off to what they would hope would be the first of many goals. It would be their only goal of the contest.
Despite the loss, the Crimson Eagles can take a moral victory from the match considering they continue to play with a weakened squad and avoided a blowout.
The Crimson Eagles return to the field on Tuesday, October 11th when they will host NCCAA East Region and NEAC rival Lancaster Bible Collge.
