CLARKS SUMMIT, PA
- The Women's Soccer team concluded their season against rivals Baptist Bible College after losing 3-1 in the NCCAA East Region semi-final.

Coach Behnke and the Crimson Eagles went into the match without one of their strongest defenders in Jessica Holt (Waldorf, MD / Grace Brethren) after she received a dubious red card the match before against Keystone College.

One of the keys for PBU was to shut down BBC's Erin Law. Every now and then you face a player you cannot stop, you can only hope to contain, and in Law PBU was facing one of those players. Shutting her down worked.... for the first 25 minutes.

In the 26th minute, BBC's Richie Sandy put a cross into the box in which Law was on hand to put home, putting the Crimson Eagles down 1-0.

In soccer, goals can come in quick succession before you even realize what's happening and that's what happened to PBU. Only 5 minutes after the first goal, PBU found themselves down 2-0.

At the 30:52 mark, Crimson Eagle goalkeeper Sara Poole (Edison, NJ / Timothy Christian) came off her goal line to make a save, but unfortunately miss-handled the ball, allowing Erin Law to score her 2nd goal of the game. Poole would rebound mentally and keep BBC scoreless for the next hour, keeping the Crimson Eagles in the game with 4 saves.

After failing to force Baptist keeper Cierra Bryon into any saves in the 1st half, PBU ratcheted up the pressure with their season was on the line. The recorded 5 shots in the second stanza and forced new goalkeeper Katelyn King into 2 saves.

BBC's defense was unable to shutout a stubborn PBU. In the 81st minute, Lizz Stine (Bellville, OH / Mansfield Christian) chose a good time to score her 1st goal of the season.

With the score now at 2-1, there was hope to the Crimson Eagles to maybe sneak another goal in and force extra time. Unfortunately, BBC's Nathalia Nasser scored with 44 seconds left on the clock to secure the 3-1 win. Nasser chipped the ball over Poole's head as PBU desperately threw players forward trying to score the game-tying goal.

Baptist Bible will not take on Lancaster Bible for the East Region Final on Saturday.

Philadelphia Biblical University closes out the season with a 3-15 record.

Although there weren't many wins, there were signs of potential from this young Crimson Eagle squad.

The Women's Soccer team says goodbye and will be without three seniors next year; defender Lisa D'Alessandro (Maple Shade, NJ / Baptist Regional), defender Natalie Crooke (Bedminster, PA / Pennridge), and goalkeeper Alyssa Beltle (Brick, NJ / Homeschool)
