TOWSON, MD - Just as the rain followed them from Pennsylvania to Maryland, the PBU women's soccer team could not avoid another loss, falling to Goucher 5-0 in non-league action on Thursday.
The conditions for the game could not have been any worse with a constant rain and a wet terrain causing problems for both teams.
While both teams had to endure the awful weather, it was Goucher who was able to overcome and put pressure on the goal.
A penalty kick in the 8th minute gave Goucher a 1-0 lead, and they would add another goal late in the 1st half to take a 2-0 lead into the intermission.
The 2nd half would be Goucher's Sisley Pumilia's show as she scored the first two goals and assisted on their fifth and final goal of the day.
Goucher outshot PBU 18-7 for the game, including a 12-2 advantage in the 2nd half as they pulled away from the Crimson Eagles.
The loss drops PBU to 1-9 overall, and they remain 0-2 in CSAC play.
The Crimson Eagles will be back in action on Saturday, October 2 at noon as they host CSAC foe Keystone.
