Box Score
ROSEMONT, PA - Two overtime periods and 110 minutes of play weren't enough to settle a victor Wednesday afternoon during PBU's showdown with Rosemont College.
The defensive minded affair saw both teams come up empty on the offensive front with neither team finding the back of the net throughout the entirety of the contest - resulting in a 0-0 tie - PBU's first of the season.
The Ravens sprinkled 23 shots on goal throughout the four frames while the Crimson Eagles managed 17 blasts.
PBU withstood Rosemont's pressure deep into the game despite playing with a man down following a red card dished out in the 88th minute. The Crimson Eagles competed shorthanded for the final two overtime periods and in fact manufactured several opportune scoring opportunities despite being handicapped.
The draw signals the fourth time PBU has been shutout this season and is just the second scoreless deadlock the men's soccer team has experienced over the last seven years.
Rookie keeper Dave Shaffer played the entirety of the match, producing eight saves for his second career shutout.
The Crimson Eagles currently sit 2-6-1 on the year while Rosemont moves to 0-8-1.
PBU will return to action this Saturday during homecoming weekend when the squad hosts Keystone College for homecoming weekend. Game time is 2:00 pm.
