Crimson Eagles Fall During Season Finale

LANGHORNE, PA -
The softball team picked up their run production during the team's season finale Saturday afternoon but failed to slow down Immaculata University, dropping consecutive games by scores of 9-8 and 12-8.

PBU made a roaring comeback during the top of the seventh of game one, notching six scores in the stanza to grab hold of a 8-5 lead. However, the Mighty Macs responded with four scores in the bottom of the period, sparked by a Julia Lamplugh two run shot over the fence.

In the nightcap, Immaculata overcame six errors defensively for the game by utilizing 14 walks throughout six innings at the plate, picking up a four run win in the process. The host group scored in five of six innings - including three innings with three or more runs - to collect their fourth triumph in five their last five tries.

The Crimson Eagles close out the season with an 11-25 record with an 8-14 mark in CSAC play.
