LANGHORNE, PA
- For the first time since 2003-04, the men's basketball squad managed to take two games from Baptist Bible College during the regular season, the most recent being a 67-64 thriller on Tuesday night.

The Crimson Eagles escaped with a three point victory over their longtime rival, but not before the Defenders would make a roaring comeback in the waning moments.

The visitors opened up the game in commanding fashion, building up a 14 point edge throughout the opening 10 minutes. The Crimson Eagles would respond, however, with a burst of their own, narrowing the gap to within two with four minutes left in the opening stanza. Baptist would extend their edge back to five by the break, leading 38-33 at the intermission.

A 12-2 PBU run during the middle of the second period would help provide the host group with an eight point cushion with five minutes to go. Playing catch-up down the stretch, Baptist capitalized on some untimely missed free throws from PBU. The visitors would drill two treys in the final 30 seconds to bring the deficit to within three, but the Defenders' last second heave at the buzzer front-rimmed, giving PBU their second win over BBC in as many weeks.

The Crimson Eagles coughed up the basketball just eight times for the game, signaling their lowest mark in the turnover department in nearly two full years. The host squad also wracked up 13 steals and seven blocks defensively, all while forcing Baptist into 19 giveaways for the contest.

PBU was paced by Charles Kennedy's 15 points and five steals on six of eight shooting from the floor. Nate Schrader chipped in with 13 points, eight rebounds, and five blocks and Ben Fuller and Willer Miller added 13 and 12 points, respectively.

The Crimson Eagles improve to 6-14 (4-9 CSAC) on the year while Baptist falls to 2-18 (0-14 CSAC).

The basketball team will get a day of rest before hosting Neumann College on Thursday at 7:00 pm.
