DOVER, DE - Playing an NCAA I school for the first time in program history, the men's basketball team was upended by Delaware State University 103-41 on the road Friday evening.
Utilizing full court pressure the majority of play, the Hornets forced the Crimson Eagles into 33 turnovers, a number that ultimately led to 68 points for the host group.
Delaware State connected on 14 of 28 longballs in the win with 13 different players getting on the scoreboard for the Hornets.
After beginning the opening five minutes of play on an 11-0 run, Delaware led 57-26 by the break.
Freshman forward Jeff Bishop led PBU with 16 points on 5 of 8 shooting from the floor in 35 minutes of work. Adam Derus and Drew Lindow both chipped in with 6.
The Crimson Eagles drop to 0-4 on the year following Friday's match-up.
PBU will turn their attention towards CSAC conference play during their next contest slated for Thursday with Rosemont College. Game time is 8:00 pm.
