LANGHORNE, PA - The PBU women's soccer team could not match up with Marywood in a 7-0 defeat at home on Saturday.
After two consecutive victories in the CSAC, the Crimson Eagles faced a difficult test with Marywoood, who is among the league leaders at 5-1 in conference play.
Marywood's depth proved to be too much for PBU as six different Pacers found the back of the net. Marywood's Olivia Habicht scored two goals and assisted on another to lead the Pacers.
The game was scoreless until the 28th minute of the 1st half when the Pacers' Siobhan Blancaflor scored the first goal of the game. Marywood would add two more 1st half goals to lead 3-0 at halftime.
The Crimson Eagles faced constant pressure all day from Marywood as they were outshot 30-5. Goalkeeper Kristen Lyszczasz made 12 saves in goal for PBU.
With the loss, PBU drops to 3-10-0 overall and 2-3 in CSAC play.
The Crimson Eagles will continue CSAC play as they travel to Allentown to face Cedar Crest College on Wednesday, October 13 at 4:00 p.m.
