LANCASTER, PA - When tournament play begins, the regular season records no longer mean anything. While PBU came in with a 4-13 record and LBC entered 13-6, the Crimson Eagles played toe-to-toe with the Chargers all day, but came up just short in a 1-0 defeat on Tuesday.
It was an early goal again that doomed the Crimson Eagles as LBC's Becca Hixson scored in the 18th minute on a free kick to put the Chargers up 1-0. And although LBC outshot the Crimson Eagles 10-1 in the 1st half, the score would remain the same.
PBU goalkeeper Kristen Lyszczasz kept PBU in the game with seven saves to her credit, but the Crimson Eagles just could not find the back of the net to score the equalizer.
Although the Crimson Eagles would see their NCCAA tournament run end, they still have one more CSAC game to play as they travel to Baltimore, MD, to face the College of Notre Dame on Thursday, October 28th.
