LANGHORNE, PA - The PBU women's soccer team lost to visiting rival Baptist Bible College 4-1 in CSAC action on Thursday. The loss drops the Crimson Eagles to 4-12 overall and 3-5 in conference play.
BBC struck first on a goal by Sandy Richie, but PBU scored the equalizer just seven minutes later on freshman Katie Clairmont's first goal of the season. Kathleen Meacham and Katherine Zell played the ball up the right wing to assist on Clairmont's goal.
With the score tied 1-1 at halftime, things were looking good for the Crimson Eagles despite being outshot 10-3 in the 1st half.
"Katie's goal was well taken," said head coach Dewey Landon. "At that point it was an even game, but unfortunately we had some miscues in the back that led to easy goals for BBC."
BBC's Erin Law took advantage of those miscues, scoring two goals in an eight-minute span make it 3-1. Melissa Prieskorn added another goal later in the half for the final BBC tally.
Goalkeeper Kristen Lyszczasz made eight saves in goal for the Crimson Eagles.
PBU will be back in action on Saturday, October 23 as they host fellow CSAC member Cabrini College at noon.
