Box Score
LANGHORNE, PA - Saturday's homecoming outing against Keystone College probably didn't fair as the Crimson Eagles' had originally envisioned heading into the game.
Instead, PBU was blanked by the Giants in what turned out to be their most lopsided loss of the season, falling 6-0 to their conference counterpart.
Surprisingly, the final score probably wasn't indicative of how the early game flow went as PBU manufactured several prime opportunities off the opening kick. However, the visitors broke lose during the 27th minute of play as senior Jamie Ellis connected for his first of three goals on the afternoon.
Having finally cracked the vault midway through the first frame, the floodgates broke open.
Keystone would manage three more scores before the opening period buzzer sounded, wracking up a 4-0 edge to head into the intermission. A pair of goals 10 minutes into the second half would propel the Giants to a 6-0 advantage, a count that would ultimately remain until the final whistle.
Despite battering nine shots on target, the Crimson Eagles were shut-out for the third straight contest and fifth time on the year. Keystone finished the afternoon with 14 rockets on goal and managed a 6-1 edge in total corners taken during their fourth triumph of the season.
It marks the second straight year the Giants have upended the Crimson Eagles.
The soccer team will look to get back on track this Tuesday during a home tilt with Immaculata University. Game time against their conference foe is 4:00 pm.
