Holzer's Hat Trick Powers PBU Past Cedar Crest

Box Score

ALLENTOWN, PA -
Mary Holzer scored three 1st half goals to lead PBU to a 6-1 victory over Cedar Crest on Wednesday.

Holzer was one of three players to score her first goal of the season as Rachel Brubaker started the scoring in the 10th minute on a 20-yard strike to the far post while Kimberly Kinzer finished it off with a goal in 72nd minute.

In between those strikes, it was Holzer who stole the show.  Her first goal came at the 11:15 mark on an assist from Katherine Zell.  In the 27th minute, Holzer scored an unassisted goal, and just 12 minutes later completed the hat trick off of a corner kick from Zell.

After Cedar Crest scored early in the 2nd half to make it a 4-1 game, Kathleen Meacham scored her team leading 8th goal of the season to make it 5-1.

Katherine Zell did a tremendous job facilitating the offense as she recorded four assists on the day.

For head coach Dewey Landon, everything about the day went according to plan.

"It was a beautiful day, and everyone who was healthy got into the game," said Landon

The win gives the Crimson Eagles three wins in their last four games and improves their record to 4-10 overall and 3-3 in the CSAC.

PBU's next game will be on Saturday, October 16 as they travel to Gwynedd-Mercy.  Game time is noon.
