ASTON, PA
- The softball team dropped a pair of games against Neumann College Thursday afternoon as the Crimson Eagles produced just two scores through 14 innings of action throughout the double-header.

The opening contest saw the host squad blank PBU as Knight hurler Megan Mazur tossed all seven innings, allowing just two hits while fanning 12 batters.

A five run fifth inning helped Neumann produce the eventual 7-0 triumph as the shutout loss marks just the second time this year that the Crimson Eagles have failed to notch a single score.

In the second game, the Knights once again struck first tallying two scores in the bottom of the first inning. PBU would crawl back into the contest after carding single scores in the fourth and fifth to pull within 4-2, but it would be all the Crimson Eagles could muster as Neumann eventually held on for the 5-2 victory.

It marks three straight losses for PBU.

Neumann, the top team in the CSAC, improves to 15-1 in conference action with the pair of victories. The Crimson Eagles fall to 7-5.

PBU will return to the field Friday afternoon for a double-header with Gwynedd-Mercy College. Game time starts at 3:00 pm.
