Defenders' Hot Hand Too Much During Second Half

LANGHORNE, PA - In round two of PBU versus BBC, Baptist Bible pulled out all the right punches down the stretch to roll to their seventh straight victory over the Crimson Eagles.

Saturday's loss to the Defenders was fueled by Baptist's scorching mark of 60 percent shooting from the field for the game. Tack on a highly impressive 29 for 33 effort from the charity stripe for BBC and you have an 18 point victory for the visitors by a final margin of 89-71.

Down just 42-41 at the break, the Crimson Eagles went somewhat cold from the field in the second stanza, hitting just nine of 31 attempts from the field for the period.

Although PBU was more efficient in the turnover department than the team has been all season (13), the Crimson Eagles struggled to get stops when it counted odwn the stretch as Baptist had two players - sophomores Nathan Greve and Tom Waszaj - that dominated the scoring column for the visitors, combining for 52 poitns on the evening.

PBU placed four players in double figures for the first time this year with Willie Miller (16), Tom Arthur (15), Dan O'Brien (12), and Mike Phillips (10) all scoring 10 or more points for the game.

The Crimson Eagles will look to rebound on Monday when the group heads to Cabrini College to take on the Cavaliers at 7:00 pm.
