RADNOR, PA - The men's basketball team struggled to slow down Cabrini College's hot hand Monday night as the Cavaliers ran away with a 31 point win over the Crimson Eagles.
During the conference opener for both teams, PBU was unable to contain Cabrini's efficient offensive attack as the cavaliers posted 84 points on the night, shooting at a 48.5 percent clip for the game.
The host squad hounded the Crimson Eagles into 20 turnovers throughout the contest and racked up 14 offensive rebounds on the way to Cabrini's fourth straight win to open the season.
Despite a 17 for 25 effort from the free throw line, PBU was forced into 36.7 percent shooting for the game, marking their second worst output of the season. Cabrini used a distinct size advantage to muster a 40-19 edge in rebounds during a game that saw all 14 players that entered the game for the Cavaliers contribute in the scoring column.
Willie Miller finished as the lone Crimson Eagle in double figures as the senior guard posted 20 points and nine rebounds during 34 minutes of play. Sophomore point guard Jeremy Pearson added eight points and two assists in the losing effort.
The basketball team will return to action this Thursday when the group travels to Keystone College to take on the Giants on the road at 8:00 pm.
