Immaculata Pushes Past PBU, 3-0

Box Score

LANGHORNE, PA
- Riding high following the program's biggest win in two years on Saturday, the Crimson Eagles couldn't keep their newfound momentum going during Tuesday's tilt, instead falling to Immaculata University 3-0.

Despite 13 saves from PBU keeper Kristen Lyszczasz, the Crimson Eagles were unable to fend off a relentless Mighty Mac attack that saw the visitors zip 23 shots at the net for the day - including 16 blasts on target.

Immaculata's Kim Steinke knocked in her third goal of the year 16:17 into the contest, chipping in a floater to give the visitors a 1-0 lead. PBU would hold off the MIghty Macs for the next 26 minutes but a Samantha Colosi rip would find the back of the cage to help Immaculata take a two goal edge into the break.

The Mighty Macs would pump home one more score late in the second period when Steink tallied her second goal off the day, somehow finding paydirt amongst a clump of white jerseys after collecting a corner kick from teammate Zena Tracey.

PBU would muster several opportunities late in the ballgame but failed to capitalize during an effort that marks the seventh time the Crimson Eagles have been blanked this year.

The soccer team drops to 2-8-1 with the loss while Immaculata moves to 5-4-2 on the season.

The Crimson Eagles will return to the field this Saturday during a road meeting in New Jersey with Centenary College. Match time is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
