Three Point Bomb Falls Short in One Point Loss

Box Score

LANCASTER, PA
- Down one with 15 seconds to go, the Crimson Eagles were unable to pull off a road victory Saturday afternoon against Lancaster Bible College as Mike Phillips' desperation three as time expired clanked the front rim.

In a game that see-sawed back in forth for nearly the entire 40 minutes, the Chargers came up with a stop when needed as PBU - shackled by 23 turnovers for the game - failed to execute in the waning seconds, sending the Crimson Eagles home with a disheartening 57-56 East Region defeat.

Junior Willie Miller collected his first double-double of the season in the loss, finishing with 17 points and 10 boards. Senior forward Tom Arthur chipped in with 16 points on the afternoon on eight of 11 shooting from the floor.

The Crimson Eagles will take on Baptist Bible College this Tuesday in Clarks Summit in a matchup set to start at 7:00 pm.
