Soccer Team Falls to Notre Dame, 4-2

Box Score

BALTIMORE, MD - The Crimson Eagles traveled to The College of Notre Dame today for their first CSAC contest and fell to the Gators, 4-2.

Although PBU outshot the Gators 16-12 and had an 11-3 advantage in corner kicks for the game it was the home team that took advantage of their opportunities as Notre Dame built a 3-1 halftime lead.  PBU's lone goal in the first half was credited to Samantha Van Camp after one of the Gator defenders inadvertantly put the ball in her own net.

The Crimson Eagles would strike back at the 56:36 mark when Keri Dietz put a shot past Notre Dame goalie Amanda McKenney to cut the deficit to 3-2.   PBU would keep pressure on the Gators but Notre Dame's Stephanie Jones put the game away with her third goal of the day after a scramble in front of the net.

The Crimson Eagles will look to regroup when they hit the road to play the Cavaliers of Cabrini College in a night game on Tuesday.  Match time is 6:30 PM.
