Soccer Falls at Home, 2-0

The Crimson Eagles lost for the first time in Langhorne this season on Saturday afternoon, falling to Bryn Mawr College 2-0.

LANGHORNE, PA - The Crimson Eagles fell to Bryn Mawr College at home Saturday afternoon, 2-0. 


Sophomore forward Jillian Forde scored both goals on the afternoon, giving the Owls' sophomore midfielder her second and third scores of the season.

Be it not for Crimson Eagle keeper Kristen Lyszczasz, things might have been much worse. Lyszczasz recorded a career high 13 saves on the afternoon, helping keep PBU in the contest the majority of the game.

Forde tallied the first score of the match just 21:52 into play, collecting and finishing a rebound to give the Owls an early 1-0 advantage. Roughly 60 minutes later, Forde stuck again, burying her second goal of the day with 6:11 left.

Bryn Mawr out shot PBU 20-4 on the afternoon. The visitors also held a slight advantage in corners, 5-4.

 

The Crimson Eagles drop to 1-4 with the loss, while the Owls improve to 4-1.

 

The soccer team will play in their final tune-up before CSAC competition begins when the squad takes on Valley Forge Christian College on the road next Wednesday. Match time is 4:00 pm.
