Crimson Eagles struggle offensively; Fall 76-59

LA PLUME, PA - The Crimson Eagles fell on the road to D'Youville College late Saturday afternoon, 76-59.

Despite tying a season high by placing four players in double figures, PBU couldn't overcome the Spartans' 26-10 advantage in points off turnovers for the game. D'Youville shot 52.0 percent in the first half - including five for eight from beyond the arc - to build a 40-25 halftime lead en route to their sixth win of the season.

D'Youville began the opening period on a seven to nothing run and never looked back, utilizing a 26-12 rebounding advantage in the first half to build their 15 point lead going into the break. The closest the Crimson Eagles would get in the second half would be 14 as the Spartans kept the visitors at arms length by utilizing a balanced scoring attack that saw eight different D'Youville players reach the scoring column

Junior forward Tom Arthur notched a team high 13 points while Dan O'Brien, Michael Phillips, and Willie Miller all dropped in 11.

PBU falls to 3-18 (3-10 NEAC) with the loss while the Spartans improve to 6-16 on the year (4-8 NEAC).

The Crimson Eagles will return to the hardwood on Wednesday in their last NEAC contest of the season. PBU will host Keystone College at 8:00 pm.
