Men's Basketball Team Cracks Win Column

Box Score

BEAVER FALLS, PA After getting dished a lopsided defeat in the opening round of the Geneva tip-off tournament, the men’s basketball team finally decided it was their time to turn the tables.

The Crimson Eagles efficiently disposed of Penn State New Kensington Saturday afternoon, easily handing the Nittany Lions 86-52 in the consolation match in Beaver Falls.

Facing a team that went 22-6 a year a go but lost seven of their top eight players, PBU had no problems from the start, jumping out to a 10 point lead within the first five minutes of play.

Senior Tom Arthur finished with 15 points on the night, while rookie Luke Taylor had somewhat of a coming out party in his third career collegiate contest by charting 14 points on six of nine shooting, five rebounds, four assists, three steals, and no turnovers in 15 minutes of work.

Arthur was named to the All-Tournament team for his efforts throughout the two-day event.

The Crimson Eagles will return to the hardwood this Tuesday to face Asbury College in Langhorne at 5:00 pm.
