LANGHORNE, PA – Coming off what ended up being their second to worse loss of the season less than 24 hours ago, the men’s soccer team decided to reverse the trend Thursday afternoon.

The team refused to let fatigue play a factor in Thursday’s contest with Valley Forge Christian College, and instead demonstrated poise and control from the start in their 6-0 blanking over the visiting Patriots.

It doesn't hurt when the opposing team does your work for you.

Valley Forge inflicted two self goals in the first half to combat against their cause for a major upset bid on the road.

Freshman Justin Hays registered four assists in the opening round NCCAA East Region win, while senior Warren Scales and Leandro Dueck each popped in two goals apiece. Seniors Jeremy Dunham and Justin way rounded out the scoring column as each charted a single score.

The win advances the Crimson Eagles into the title bout set to be played this Saturday against Lancaster Bible College. The victor in Saturday's contest will receive the coveted automatic bid to the National Tournament.

The Crimson Eagles improve to 7-11 on the year with Thursday's effort while the Patriots end their season with a 7-9-1 overall record.
