LANGHORNE, PA - The bad news is the men's soccer team fell at home Thursday afternoon to Penn State Berks, 3-1. The good news? It has no effect on their playoff standing.
In the Crimson Eagles' last non-conference match-up of the year, the team couldn't overcome two Nittany Lion second half scores en route to PBU's ninth loss of the year.
Senior Jeremy Dunham tallied his team-leading eighth score of the season 15 minutes into the first half to combat an early score by Berks. Unfortunately, it wouldn't be enough as PBU allowed two late second half goals in their third loss over their past four outings.
The visitors outshot PBU 14-12 for the day and held a 10-4 edge in corners taken.
The Crimson Eagles fall to 6-9 on the season with the loss while PSB improves to 5-11.
PBU will return to the field this Saturday in a huge meeting with Neumann College that could potentially determine the fifth and final CSAC playoff spot. The Crimson Eagles will take on the Knights in Drexel Hill at 1:00 pm.
