LANGHORNE, PA - Make it seven for seven.

The Crimson Eagles kept their perfect conference record intact Saturday afternoon, blowing through visiting Centenary College in three straight sets by scores of 25-10, 25-17, and 25-16.

In fact, Saturday's victory gives PBU their 19th consecutive conference win dating back to the good old days of NEAC competition. Their last loss in conference play was over two full years, back on October 14 of the 2006 season to Villa Julie College.

But the big seven not only represents PBU's seventh straight CSAC win since joining the league earlier this year, it also mark’s the groups seventh straight triumph spanning all of three weeks.

In fact, the Crimson Eagles have just lost three total sets during that tenure - two alone coming at the hands of Messiah College - and have overwhelmed the opposition by a combined count of 21-3.

Saturday's story was no different. Facing an opponent that's somewhat on the other end of the pendulum as Centenary has yet to secure a "W" in CSAC action on the year, the Crimson Eagles asserted their dominance early, hitting at a .333 clip in the opening set compared to the Cyclones’ mark of -.040.

Although wins in games two and three didn’t quite come with the same ease as the visiting squad began to demonstrate a surprising toughness, PBU nonetheless managed to spike home 35 team kills for the day to contrast Centenary’s 13 and held a significant edge in services aces as well (14 to 3).

Third-year setter Betsy Ranck, who recently surpassed the 3,000 career assist mark in a contest with Baptist Bible last Saturday – an incredible feat for just a junior – once again led the way with 26 assists, six aces, three digs, and three kills. Ranck currently sits in third place in the conference dishing out 7.66 assists per game.

Senior Rebecca Williams charted 13 kills and five digs, while sophomore Carly Plank chipped in with six kills and four aces. Junior libero Kay Lynn Zeiset added a match high 12 digs while senior Katy Kutzner chipped in with six stops defensively.

Chasing a Neumann College squad that currently has one more win on the year to their credit, the Crimson Eagles will have the chance to dethrone the Knights next Wednesday in a match-up that has the potential to determine the top seed for the upcoming CSAC tournament. PBU will take on Neumann on the road at 7:00 pm.
