Allison Barnes '23 joins the Cairn Women's Volleyball coaching staff for the 2024 season.

Barnes was a standout student-athlete for Highlanders from 2018-2022, totaling 722 kills, 233 aces, 437 digs, and 131 blocks in 93 games played over her career. With 43 solo blocks her fifth year, she sits second all-time for most solo blocks in a season. Barnes was named 1st Team All-Conference in back-to-back seasons (2021,22) as well as Conference Player of the Year in 2022. In her final season, Barnes topped the conference in total kills (266), kills per set (3.33), hitting percentage (.334), total points (375.5) and points per set (4.69).

She was awarded the Clarence E. Mason Award for Athletic Excellence, the award recognizing a student-athlete who has made the greatest contribution to their athletic programs through a high level of competition, leadership, and sportsmanship,as well as being named the Female Athlete of the Year among the Highlanders during the 2022-23 athletic year.

Off the court, Barnes is the Membership Marketing Coordinator at Yardley Country Club.
