Amiya Rankins joins the Cairn Women's Basketball coaching staff as an assistant coach for the 2023-24 season, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to the team.
Rankins was a standout player at Franklin High School (Somerset, NJ) where she played an integral role in the team's success. Notably, during the 2013-14 season, Rankins contributed to Franklin Warriors' impressive 23-4 record and their victorious run in the NJSIAA Group 4 tournament. The following season, the Warriors continued their winning streak with a 24-6 record and another triumph in the NJSIAA Group 4 tournament.
In her collegiate years, Rankins attended and played for Concordia College (NY), where she graduated with a degree in business administration and minor in psychology in 2020.
Following her playing career, Rankins ventured into coaching, starting off with her childhood AAU program, Team Miller Lightning. Most recently serving as the coach for the class of 2027 team.
Rankins is not only passionate about basketball but also committed to furthering her education and making a positive impact in the community. She is currently pursuing a masters degree in Nonprofit Leadership at Cairn, with the aim of assisting the less fortunate through nonprofit organizations across the country.

With her extensive playing experience, coaching background, and strong connections in the AAU program, Amiya is expected to be an exceptional mentor for the team while helping the program thrive."
