Hired in January 2020, Jenna Collier joined the Cairn Softball staff as an Assistant Coach in January 2020 and was promoted to Head Coach in April 2020. Jenna is a recent graduate from Liberty University with a B.S. in Sport Management and is currently pursuing her MBA at Cairn University.
Collier grew up around the game of softball her whole life. From high school to college, she spent countless hours practicing on many different fields for different sports, but softball has always been her passion.
Before transferring to Liberty University, Collier played two years of NJCAA Division II college softball, soccer, and volleyball for Raritan Valley Community College. Despite her playing career ending after she transferred, Collier knew her days around sports were not over. Jenna had the opportunity to work with the Division I program Liberty University softball alongside Coach Dot Richardson, while also spending time as support staff for many other Liberty Athletic programs.
“My experience working with the Liberty Softball program is one I will never forget. The opportunity I had to connect with not only the players but the coaches allowed me to see what a genuine love and passion for the game of softball they all possess,” Collier said. “I want to continue to grow that type of love, community, and passion here at Cairn University.”
Coach Collier is excited to continue her coaching career here at Cairn, and continue the success of Cairn Softball. Collier views her new role as an opportunity to build relationships and inspire these young female athletes pursue excellence in softball, while putting God first in everything they do.
Collier had this to say about her hiring with the Highlanders, “The Lord has opened so many doors for me here at Cairn University and I could not be more thankful to work alongside a great athletic department that has wonderful Coaches leading our student athletes.”
