Jason Miller

Jason Miller becomes the 16th coach in the 47-year history of the softball program at Cairn University.

In Miller's second year the Highlanders recorded 17 victories tying the program record for victories in a season set back in 2008.  The Highlanders also finished with eight CSAC victories tying the mark set in 2010 for second most CSAC victories. During the year the Highlanders went on two different four game winning streaks and as a team Cairn was awarded the CSAC 3-D Team Award.

Miller returns to his alma mater where he was a 1999 graduate with a double-major in Youth Ministry and Bible. During his time at Cairn, Miller featured strongly for the Highlanders baseball program and hleped assist the softball program when his playing career was finished. He will look to continue the work of previous Head Coach Ed Howell, and continue the climb up the win column. The Highlanders had 1 win in 2011 and improved that to 5 wins in 2012. The last .500 season or better for Cairn was back in 2008.

Having either played or coached the sport over the past 25 years, Miller's passion for the sport has seen him teaching the game at various levels, from the 2-3 year olds up to the collegiate level. Miller believes in using sports to positively impact people's lives. You can often find him making connections in and through local leagues. He has been involved with sports ministry's for over 10 years.  

Miller married his wife Audrey in 2000. They reside in Philadelphia, Pa with their two children; Alijah and Austin.
