Langhorne, PA - The Highlanders Drop Match to Profs 3-0.
Rowan (8-2 / 0-0 NJAC) got out in front early in set number 1, building a 6-2 lead to open the match. Cairn (7-3 / 0-0 United East) rallied to try to make a come back, with senior outside hitter
Bridget Dahn (Smithsburg, MD / Heritage Academy), and sophomores
Marah Lehman (Chambersburg, PA Chambersburg) and
Bella Manthe (Manila, Philippines Faith Academy) each recording a kill early in the set. The Profs took control of the set and won the final 11 points to secure the first set.
The second set once again saw the Profs jump ahead early, going up 9-1 and pushing it out to 18-6. 3 kills by Lehman and 2 by Dahn helped the Highlanders shrink the gap to 20-12, but the Profs maintained control and took the second set.
The third frame saw a much better start from the Highlanders, Dahn recorded an ace and a kill to help keep Cairn close at 9-11. Rowan returned to form and controlled the second half of the set, winning 25-14 to complete the sweep.
