Cairn (3-4 / 3-4 UNITED EAST) outpaced the Giants of Keystone College (2-6 / 2-5 UNITED EAST). The Highlanders claimed a 6-0 lead in the first quarter and kept a steady pressure on the Giants by scoring every quarter. Cairn relied on a strong passing attack behind junior quarterback
Dezaray Bright (Keystone Heights, FL / Keystone Heights). Bright totaled 209 yards on the day and threw for 4 touchdowns for the Highlanders.
Brights most effective targets on the day were junior receiver
Clara Tylavsky (Des Moines, IA / Saydel) and senior receiver
Abigail Stange (East Earl, PA / Homeschooled) who both brought in 2 touchdown passes from Bright. Tylavsky also led the team in receiving yards with 86. Bright also frequently dropped the ball off to junior receiver
Katie Morrill (Bergen, NY / Homeschool) who caught 10 passes from her QB and turned those passes into 69 yards for the Cairn offense.
On the other end of the ball the Highlanders locked down the Keystone offense. Senior linebacker
Emma Lowe (New Cumberland, PA / West Shore Christian Academy) paced the Cairn defense with 10 flag pulls on the afternoon. Freshman linebacker
Meg Gleason (Feasterville, PA / Calvary Christian Academy) tacked on another 5 flag pulls and recorded 2 sacks for the Highlanders.
Cairn will return to action for their regular season finale with a tri-match against Lancaster Bible and Penn State Harrisburg on April 18th.
