Baltimore, MD – Highlanders struggle against Gators.
Cairn (2-15 / 1-8 UNITED EAST) struggled to produce on the offensive end early against Notre Dame (MD) (11-7 / 7-1). The Highlanders were only able to manage 3 points in the first quarter. Layups from junior forward

Maddy Birth (Shickshinny, PA / Cross Creek Christian) slightly improved the offensive output in the second quarter, but Cairn was still unable to match the Gator's pace and entered half-time trailing 39-8.
The fourth quarter was by far the best offensive showing from the Highlanders, with junior forward
Emily Brittin (Winslow, NJ / Pilgrim Academy) leading the way with 8 points in the final frame. Cairn fell by a final score of 83-26.
The Highlanders return to action on Saturday January 31st by going on the road for a match up with Cedar Crest at 1 PM.
