LANGHORNE, PA – Cairn Women's Basketball picked up their first win of the season on Monday, at home against Trinity Washington, 67-45.

Emily Brittin (Winslow, NJ / Pilgrim Academy) had the first bucket for the Highlanders from behind the arc before Trinity (0-5 / Independent) went ahead 11-5. Senior guard
Kailee Sobrino (Vail, AZ / Empire) added two buckets late in the frame to close the lead to 11-9.
Sobrino had eight of the first nine points in the second quarter for Cairn (1-3 / UNITED EAST) to take an 18-17 lead. Brittin and junior forward
Laryssa Robinson (Mt. Laurel, NJ / Life Center) each made a trio of free throws to keep Cairn in control until the Tigers took 26-24 lead to the break.
Cairn opened the second half on a 16-2 run as Trinity was down to four players, growing the lead to 14 as freshman guard
Olivia Logan (Cherry Hill, NJ / Camden County College) hit a three. The Highlanders held the advantage 45-38 after the third stanza.
Brittin and Robinson opened the closing set with a pair of layups apiece as Logan and freshman guard
Lily Welsh (Mt. Laurel, NJ / King's Christian) each scored. Cairn ended the night on an 8-2 run, winning their first game of the season, 67-45.
Sobrino led Cairn's scoring with 18 points along with a career-high 9 steals and 8 assists. Brittin and Robinson each recorded double-doubles of 12 points/16 rebounds and 16 points/13 rebounds, respectively. Junior forward
Dezaray Bright (Keystone Heights, FL / Keystone Heights) finished with six points and a pair of blocked shots.
The Highlanders continue their homestand on Thursday, hosting Bryn Mawr College.
