LANGHORNE, Pa. – The Cairn University women's tennis team lost, 5-4, at home against non-conference foe Mercer County Community College inside the McCurdy Tennis Facility on Friday afternoon.
Cairn (7-5) claimed four matches on the day, three of them by default. Sophomore
Rebekah Hepp claimed Cairn's lone singles victory, besting her opponent by a score of 6-4, 6-1 at No. 4 singles. Senior
Paige Kemper (Lancaster, PA / Garden Spot) endured a battle in the No. 1 slot, dropping a hard-fought tiebreak decision by a score of 2-6, 3-6 (9-11).
The Highlanders will be back on the court tomorrow in their final match before the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) playoffs when they take on Notre Dame of Maryland University on Senior Day at 12 p.m.
